Cultivating compassion and resilience in healthcare

How can healthcare professionals care for people facing critical situations while also caring for themselves and their teams?

This question lies at the heart of Cultivating Compassion in Clinical Practice, an eight-week CBCT® programme led by Dr. Ximena Hernández for professionals working in emergency, intensive and critical care.

CBCT® offers a structured approach to cultivating compassion through attentional training, self-awareness and reflection. Its practice connects with several Inner Development Goals (IDG) skills, particularly Self-awareness and Presence (Being), Perspective Skills (Thinking), and Empathy and Compassion, Appreciation and Connectedness (Relating). These capacities can help professionals navigate emotional demands, respond more thoughtfully to suffering and foster more compassionate relationships with patients, families and colleagues.

Initiatives like this bring inner development into professional practice, connecting personal capacities with the collective challenge of creating more human-centred healthcare.
