This workshop explored how mindfulness can help us develop a healthier relationship with our emotions.
Often, our emotions can hold us captive, leading to personal suffering and turbulence in the world around us. Through the practice of heightened mindfulness, we gain the tools to redefine our connection with our own minds. In fact, our very emotions can become allies on this journey. It’s a process of forging a friendship with our own minds.
Gelong Thubten is a Buddhist monk, meditation teacher and author based in the United Kingdom. He has spent over 25 years training in Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and is widely recognised for his work bringing mindfulness and meditation into contemporary contexts, including education, healthcare and corporate environments. He has taught internationally and worked with organisations such as Google, the NHS and leading universities, helping people integrate contemplative practices into modern life.
