About this project

In the early months of 2020, as the world grappled with global lockdown challenges, our team was nestled in the serene Monastery of Kopan. This tranquil environment inspired us to create something meaningful during these uncertain times.

Drawing from our professional expertise and personal experiences, we developed a project centered on emotional well-being and inner strength. We provide practical, accessible tools based on our professional background and enriched by our time at the monastery. Our goal is to help you find calm and clarity, even in the most challenging moments.

Join our virtual community and discover how these tools can transform your life. Through our platform, we also support charitable organizations, fostering a sense of solidarity and connection. Together, we can turn adversity into an opportunity for growth and make a real difference in our lives and communities.

Our team, composed of professionals from Colombia, New Zealand, Spain, Australia, Wales, Argentina, Austria, and the U.S., is united by a vision that took shape at the Kopan Monastery in early 2020. It was here that Magda, Katie, Mike, and Zak first connected.

During the global COVID-19 lockdown, Magda and Katie found refuge within the monastery’s serene environment, while Zak, stranded in Kathmandu due to a canceled flight, remained close to the Boudhanath Stupa. Mike, after weeks in quarantine, returned to Philadelphia, and the rest of our team collaborated from Madrid, Berlin, and beyond.

Magda, usually based in Berlin, initiated this project to provide essential tools for navigating these challenging times. We viewed the global crisis as a unique opportunity to come together and create a meaningful impact, driven by our collective commitment to support and uplift others through uncertainty.

Acknowledgements

We are profoundly grateful to everyone who played a crucial role in bringing this project to life. Our heartfelt thanks go to our esteemed teachers, whose wisdom has guided our collective journey of study and practice. To our families and friends, whose unwavering love and support, despite the physical distance, are the foundation of our strength. May we reciprocate this attention and kindness by fostering a circle of care throughout our lives.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Lama Zopa Rinpoche,  Ven. Tenzin Namdrol, the Kopan Monastery, and the monks and nuns whose constant prayers have been a source of wisdom and comfort, even before the challenges posed by the Coronavirus crisis. To the dedicated monastery staff in various roles—from the kitchen to reception, the library, and the café—and to the charming beings that accompanied us: Rocky & Ms. Julia, the monkeys, birds, and butterflies. May their lives be filled with happiness and free of worries.

To our valued listeners, your interest, participation, and contributions have been the heart of this project. May the success and joy you find here ripple positively into every aspect of your lives and every corner of the world you touch.

By channeling the positive energy generated by this project, we aspire to contribute to the eradication of suffering, the dispelling of fear, and the realization of goodness in the lives of all beings. Your collective support has been a beacon of light, and for that, we are immensely grateful.
